The incredibly beautiful territory of the Darband gorge is located in the Boysun district of the Surkhandarya region.

An interesting fact is that there are many beautiful places in Boysun, which are scattered throughout its territory, at a distance of 50 to 70 km, on which you can spend a whole day traveling. In general, the words “Dara” “Band” from Tajik translates as an obstacle in the gorge, it was the inhabitants of this village who were responsible for protecting this path, the historical past of this people apparently affected its modern appearance. The population of the village is 100% Tajiks.
Baysunsky district can be considered as the land of caves. At the entrance to the Darband gorge, on the left side there is a cave "Zindomak", which translates as zindan, which means - an underground prison.
Climbing up the rocks, the first, almost vertical descent into the cave opens, which is connected by a common corridor and goes into the depths.
If you go further, there is an even more impressive cave. Its walls are covered with a strange mineral.
The road to the gorge does not exceed two meters. Driving through these places, you can observe the canyon walls on one side, and on the other side, a beautifully flowing sai. Amazingly gigantic, beautiful canyons reach a height of 50 meters.
You can get to the canyon in two ways, either through the Derbent gorge or through the nearby villages, or Alachapan and Dubolo, which is safer and more comfortable.
This amazingly beautiful place is fascinating for rock climbers. For lovers of archeology, there are places where giant reptiles - dinosaurs - lived millions of years ago.
In a word, Darband is an incredibly beautiful place for a fascinating journey for tourists, photographers, artists, archaeologists, but for everyone.
